1. Pre-Installation Measurement Guide
Proper measurement is essential for a successful Cubby smart locker installation. This guide will help you accurately measure your space to ensure the lockers fit perfectly and function optimally.
2. Standard Locker Dimensions
Our standard locker units have the following dimensions:
- Width: 24 inches (61 cm) per locker compartment
- Height: 72 inches (183 cm) per unit
- Depth: 24 inches (61 cm)
- Weight: Approximately 200 lbs (91 kg) per unit
Multi-compartment units are available in various configurations. Contact us for specific dimensions for your desired configuration.
3. Space Requirements
When measuring your space, ensure you account for:
- Clearance: Minimum 6 inches (15 cm) on all sides for ventilation
- Access: Adequate space for door opening (full door width plus clearance)
- Installation: Additional space needed during installation process
- Walkway: At least 36 inches (91 cm) in front for user access
- Ceiling Height: Minimum 84 inches (213 cm) from floor to ceiling
4. Measurement Steps
Follow these steps to measure your installation space:
- Measure the width of the available wall space
- Measure the height from floor to ceiling
- Measure the depth available (distance from wall)
- Check for obstructions (outlets, pipes, vents, etc.)
- Measure door openings and access paths
- Note the location of electrical outlets
- Identify network connection points
- Document any special considerations or constraints
5. Electrical Requirements
Each locker unit requires:
- Dedicated 120V AC electrical outlet
- 15 Amp circuit minimum (20 Amp recommended)
- Ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protection
- Outlet located within 6 feet of installation location
Measure the distance from your proposed installation location to the nearest electrical outlet.
6. Network Requirements
For network connectivity, measure:
- Distance to nearest Ethernet port (if using wired connection)
- Wi-Fi signal strength at installation location
- Availability of network infrastructure
Our team can assist with network assessment during the site survey.
7. Site Survey
While these measurements help with initial planning, we strongly recommend a professional site survey before final installation. Our team will visit your location to verify measurements, assess the space, check electrical and network requirements, and ensure optimal placement for functionality and user access.
8. Custom Configurations
If your space has unique constraints or requirements, custom configurations may be available. Contact us to discuss your specific needs and we can work together to design a solution that fits your space perfectly.
